What we found
A homeowner contacted Daniel Hood Roofing Systems after noticing a minor leak near a roof penetration area. During the inspection, our team discovered that the issue extended beyond the small leak and involved several areas of concern.
We found that portions of the roofing system had been pushed up, creating openings that could allow pests and critters to enter the home. The inspection also revealed significant damage to the existing gutter topper system. Several sections were torn, deteriorated, and no longer functioning properly. In addition, the damaged gutter toppers were pushing the shingles upward, preventing them from lying flat and creating pathways for water to work its way beneath the roofing materials.
