Clinton is the seat of Anderson County, a city of about 10,500 people on the Clinch River north of Knoxville. The City of Clinton's Codes Enforcement office handles building permits, trade permits and inspections inside city limits, and homes outside the city fall under Anderson County's codes department. Clinton's housing mixes older homes near downtown with newer subdivisions along the highway corridors, and roofs age differently in each. The storm record in NOAA's database for this area includes quarter to golf-ball-size hail near exit 122 in April 2011, ping-pong-ball-size hail in Clinton in March 2012, and repeated countywide wind events that brought down trees. When limbs land on a roof, the repair can reach the decking, not just the shingles. We inspect, document what we see with photos, and give you a written estimate before any work begins.

What affects roofing costs in Clinton, TN
| Factor | How it affects the price |
|---|---|
| City or county address | Clinton and unincorporated Anderson County have separate permit offices. |
| Storm-damaged decking | Fallen limbs can crack decking or rafters, which adds carpentry to a shingle job. |
| Ventilation | Older attics often lack enough intake or exhaust ventilation, and correcting it is part of doing the roof right. |
