Michael came out and took a good look at your roof, and here’s the deal — this roof is only six years old but it’s already wearing out way faster than it should. The gutters are packed with loose granules, which basically means the shingles are breaking down from the inside out and can’t keep water out like they’re supposed to.
A big part of the problem is that old aluminum ridge vent up top — the nails are rusty and sticking up, letting rainwater sneak straight into your home. On top of that, the back addition’s roof is too flat for shingles, so water just slides right underneath. Bottom line — you need a new roof.
